Media

Images uploaded to our website/contest will retain any Metadata you have added to the image. You should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included if you want to keep locations private. Visitors to the website may be able to download and extract any location data from images on the website despite our best efforts.

Mailing List

Signing up to be notified or our contest adds your email address to our mailing list. Anyone submitting an entry to the contest will also get added to the email list, which will include the name you used when checking out. The mailing list is used solely in conjunction with the contest itself, promoting it, promoting our sponsors and sharing news, updates, results and other pertinent information. Subscribers can unsubscribe at any time.

Contact forms

Our contact form only collects the information you provide to us and will be used solely in communication with you based on your question and/or comment.

Cookies

Any cookies set by our website will be basic cookies needed by WordPress, Google Analytics and Pay Pal to process your entries.

Who we share your data with

Our website shares no data collected other than names of Finalists and Winners. Names will be included in any press release, blog post, social media post or any announcement about results of the contest. Other media outlets may pick up the story/press release and also share that information on their websites as fair use.

How long we retain your data

We have no end date for data submitted by users. We will freely remove any user from our mailing list either through the automated “unsubscribe” feature on all our emails, or from our WordPress database.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
